Budget to axe local PSNI bases.A COST-cutting scheme to wipe out more rural police stations was revealed yesterday. A population of 30,000 in the Cookstown area, Co Tyrone, will be left with one station if plans go ahead. The PSNI PSNI Police Service of Northern Ireland (UK) PSNI Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland PSNI Professional Systems Network, Inc. scheme sees its bases in Pomeroy, Coagh and Stewartstown shut. Last month proposals to cut the number of stations in all of Co Fermanagh from seven to three were put out for consultation. And schemes for cuts in the Dungannon and Omagh areas of Tyrone are expected to be outlined soon.
