EXTERNAL FUNDING

AASA's development office, which includes the Leadership for Learning Foundation, has received hundreds of thousands of corporate and government dollars through strategic alliances, partnerships, licensing agreements, contributions and sponsorships. Development efforts that support AASA AASA American Association of School Administrators

AASA Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army
 goals include:

* Positioning of AASA as a lead organization for America's Promise America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth is a foundation started by Colin Powell in 1997 to help children and youth from all socioeconomic sectors in the United States. , the official follow-up to the Presidents' Summit for America's Future in collaboration with its partners, Communities In Schools and Quest International.

* Funding from AMP Inc. and the Electric Power Research Institute to support a project titled, Preparing Schools and School Systems for the 21st Century.

* Partnering with Communities In Schools, which brought 70 CIS Cis (sĭs), same as Kish (1.)

 leaders to the 1997 National Conference on Education and made possible a series of programs about children.

* Receiving support from the Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and  to extend indoor air quality Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) deals with the content of interior air that could affect health and comfort of building occupants. The IAQ may be compromised by microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria), chemicals (such as carbon monoxide, radon), allergens, or any mass or energy stressor  resources to school leaders.

* Building a relationship with the Gordon Black Corp., which owns the Louis Harris polling firm, to provide customer satisfaction resources for school systems.

* Developing AASA's new Leadership Institute for School Administrators with support from MetLife.

* Sponsoring a number of key AASA activities with support from the Great American Life Insurance Company (GALIC GALIC Great American Life Insurance Company ) and the Variable Annuity Variable Annuity

An insurance contract in which, at the end of the accumulation stage, the insurance company guarantees a minimum payment. The remaining income payments can vary depending on the performance of the managed portfolio.

* Initiating a computer arts competition with Imation Corp.
