Budgeoff to teach babies to swim.

BUDGE POUNTNEY Anthony (Budge) Charles Pountney (born 13 November 1973 in Southampton) is the former Director of Rugby at Northampton Saints rugby union club. He formerly played at flanker for Northampton and Scotland. He captained Scotland.  has turned his back on rugby to teach babies to swim.

Former Scotland captain Pountney is launching the business with his wife Ali.

He had intended to quit as Northampton Saints director next summer but has now quit after 15 years as a player and coach with the club.

Pountney, capped 31 times, said: "Ali and I always wanted to start our own business and we are opening a franchise of Waterbabies.

"I thought an early departure from Northampton was best to ensure a quick and seamless transition for the club,

"It has been an honour to have been a part of a club with many magical memories and some proud wins, not least lifting the Heineken Cup in 2000."
