Bud Light's `Sleigh Ride' Emerges as Early Leader in America Online's Super Sunday AOL Ad Poll with over 100,000 Votes Counted.

 AOL(R) Ad Poll, featuring the ads that debuted during Super Bowl XXXVIII Super Bowl XXXVIII was the 38th championship game of the modern National Football League (NFL). The game was played on February 1, 2004 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas following the 2003 regular season. , Bud Light's "Sleigh Ride" has emerged as the early favorite with 11 percent of the vote. This year's Super Sunday AOL(R) Ad Poll is expected to be the largest Super Bowl advertising poll in history with ads available for viewing and voting on the AOL(R) service (Keyword: Super Bowl) and via the Web on the AOL.com(R) service.

Preliminary results as of 11:30 pm Sunday, February 1, show the top five positions to be:

1. Bud Light - Sleigh Ride - 11%

2. Budweiser - Donkey - 10%

3. Bud Light - Dogs Fetching - 9%

4. Bud Light - Chimpanzee chimpanzee, an ape, genus Pan, of the equatorial forests of central and W Africa. The common chimpanzee, Pan troglodytes, lives N of the Congo River. Full-grown animals of this species are up to 5 ft (1.  -- 6%

5. Budweiser - Referee - 6%

With votes pouring in, the final tally in the Super Sunday AOL(R) Ad Poll will be announced at 2:00 pm (EST EST electroshock therapy.

) today. The ads will remain available for viewing on AOL and AOL.com through Wednesday, February 4.

"With so much attention and interest in the Super Bowl ads, we wanted to provide an immediate opportunity for fans to let their voice be heard and this year's poll is likely to be the biggest ever," said Len Short, Executive Vice President of Brand Marketing, America Online.

In 2003, AOL hosted a similar commercial showcase, and the ads were viewed more than 5.6 million times in 36 hours. Last year's winner was the Pepsi Twist ad featuring the Osbournes.

In addition, AOL and AOL.com hosted a showcase of classic ads from previous Super Bowls that allowed fans to view the ads and then vote for their favorite. The ads were viewed more than 4.6 million times and more than 200,000 votes were cast in the poll. The top three classic ads chosen by voters on AOL, AOL.com and CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) See cell broadcast. .com were announced live on the CBS special, "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials," which aired Saturday, January 31. The top three ads were: (1) Coca Cola: Mean Joe Greene - 1980; (2) Budweiser: Zebra Referee reviews the instant replay - 2003; and (3) McDonald's: Bird and Jordan compete for a Big Mac - 1993.
