Buca di Beppo Wins First-Place Honors from "Best of Citysearch" Annual Poll.


MINNEAPOLIS -- Buca di Beppo Buca di Beppo is an American restaurant chain specializing in immigrant Southern Italian food. The name roughly translates as "Joe's Basement" (Beppo is slang for Joe in Southern Italy and Buca means basement (literally it means "hole") in Italian).  restaurants throughout the country received first-place awards in categories including "Italian Food," "Special Occasion Dining," "Family Friendly Dining" and numerous others in the Best of Citysearch annual poll.

Citysearch.com conducts its "Best of Citysearch" poll each year, inviting site visitors to nominate nom·i·nate

 and vote for their favorite restaurants in a variety of categories. Buca di Beppo received 14 top-honors and dozens more second- and third-place awards in the 2007 poll; the restaurant has received more than a hundred top awards since Citysearch began the poll in 1998.
