Danner, 67, will retire June 30, 2005, as the company's executive vice president and general counsel. "In his nearly 13 years of service at the company, Bry has set the highest standard of performance excellence and commitment to our company values," said John E. Bryson, Edison International chairman. "We all have come to value greatly his leadership, sound judgment and wise counsel. We wish Bry the best in his well-earned retirement." Prior to joining the company in 1992, Danner was a senior partner in the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. law firm of Latham & Watkins, where he worked for 29 years. He was the 1988-89 chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and was named the "Outstanding Corporate Counsel of 2003" by the Bar Association's Corporate Law Section. Danner is a trustee of the Nature Conservancy of California.
