Docucorp(R) (Nasdaq:DOCC), a leading provider of enterprise information solutions, today announced Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) will revamp its billing capabilities with Docucorp's utility billing solution. According to BTU General Manager Dan Wilkerson, "BTU is a consumer-owned electric utility serving 45,000 customers in Brazos, Burleson and Robertson counties in central Texas."

The January 1, 2002, deregulation of the electric utility industry in Texas will present opportunities for utilities, such as BTU, to enter new markets and add customers. In addition, with a broad array of services -- including electric, water, solid waste disposal, security and appliance and insulation financing -- BTU needs the ability to communicate with and cross-sell to its customer base. An effective and efficient way to do this is through a billing system that can design and print bills with customized messages.
