 Slavin revealed he uses the experience of big-match policing to spur him on to glory when he crosses the white line.

He said: "I've been on duty a fair few times at both Ibrox and Parkhead, including on Old Firm days, so it's certainly an experience.

"It's funny being in and around the crowd because you get to hear all the abuse that's hurled at the players. It also gives you an idea of what the punters might be saying about me when I'm out on the pitch on Saturdays!

"The experience helps me in my football career as I get to see how much the fans invest in teams and what they expect from players.

"It makes me even more determined to win games and trophies to reward the fans."

Slavin has already written his name into the Beechwood Park folklore as part of the 2006 West Super League and Scottish Junior Cup The Scottish Junior Cup is a competition organised by the Scottish Junior Football Association. As of the 2006-07 season, 163 teams are registered to take part in the competition.  double-winning side.

He said: "Plenty of players and teams win the Scottish Cup once but to win it a second time - that makes it a great team. We've got that chance and know what we have to do."
