Quick Frozen Foods International (QFFI) has relocated its Europe headquarters to Brussels, Belgium. It is managed up by David Truchot, who succeeded Dronten, Holland-based Oeble Kempenaar as the magazine's Europe representative on January 22. He is responsible for servicing accounts and developing business in all European countries outside of Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.

Truchot came to QFFI from Le Monde du Surgele, where he served as an advertising salesman covering northern Europe. In addition, he represented the French frozen food magazine's companion business directory.

The newly appointed QFFI Europe representative holds a master's degree in international commerce from EPSCI in Paris, as well as BS in international management from the International Business School of Groningen, Holland.

Kempenaar, who worked for QFFI for six years, departed amicably to become key account manager with Usselerriet, a Dutch supplier of organic herbs, fruits and dried vegetables.

"Naturally, we regret that Oeble will no longer be with us," said John M. Saulnier, QFFI's chief editor and publisher. "He has performed admirably, not only as a salesman but also as someone sensitive and responsive to the needs of those in the frozen food business. We wish him well."

At the same time, the publisher expressed confidence that Truchot will "hit the ground running" in picking up where his predecessor left off.
