:BW) today announced the appointment of Mr. Joseph P. Keithley to its Board of Directors. Mr. Keithley, age 48, is the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Keithley Instruments, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. He joins the Board of Directors of Brush Wellman as part of a class of Directors whose term expires in 1998.
