Brush Wellman Names Stephen Freeman President, Brush Wellman International.CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999-- Brush Wellman Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :BW) announced that Stephen Freeman has been named President, Brush Wellman International. In this newly created position, Mr. Freeman will be responsible for the alloy products international business including operational responsibility for Brush Wellman GmbH (Germany), Brush Wellman Limited (England), Brush Wellman (Japan), Ltd., and Brush Wellman (Singapore) Pte Ltd PTE LTD Private Limited . Mr. Freeman will report to Mr. William R. Seelbach, President, Alloy Products. Commenting on the action, William Seelbach said, "This change is being made to further strengthen the Alloy business outside North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. and to take advantage of additional growth opportunities overseas. Currently, approximately 30% of Alloy Product's sales are outside North America and our goal is to significantly expand both the volume and percentage of International sales over the next five years. Steve Freeman's new position is one part of our strategy to add to our International leadership and resources." Mr. Freeman joined Brush Wellman in July of 1992 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing-Alloy Products and most recently served as Vice President, Alloy Products. Prior to joining Brush Wellman, Mr. Freeman held a variety of management positions for Foseco International Ltd., including General Manager, Foseco Korea Ltd., Chief Executive of Fosmin Industries (London, England) and President of Foseco Japan Ltd.
