 (age 52) Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Grampa joined the Company in September of 1998 as Vice President, Finance responsible for Information Technology, Internal Audit and accounting functions.

Prior to undertaking his current responsibilities, Mr. Grampa had been Vice President Finance for the Worldwide Materials Businesses of Avery Dennison in Concord, Ohio. Prior to joining Avery Dennison in 1984, he had served in a variety of financial management, audit and planning positions at Diamond Shamrock.

Commenting on the action, Mr. Gordon D. Harnett, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brush Wellman, said, "John Grampa has an outstanding track record in strategic financial management and the broad range of experience needed to provide the appropriate leadership and direction of the financial function in his new role as CFO See Chief Financial Officer. . Mr. Grampa holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from West Virginia University West Virginia University, mainly at Morgantown; coeducational; land-grant and state supported; est. and opened 1867 as an agricultural college, renamed 1868. , and is a Certified Public Accountant Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
