Brush Wellman Inc. Promotes Michael D. Anderson to President, Beryllium Products.

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2004

Brush Wellman Inc. today announced that it has promoted Michael D. Anderson to President, Beryllium beryllium (bərĭl`ēəm) [from beryl ], metallic chemical element; symbol Be; at. no. 4; at. wt. 9.01218; m.p. about 1,278°C;; b.p. 2,970°C; (estimated); sp. gr. 1.85 at 20°C;; valence +2.  Products. Mr. Anderson had been Vice President, Beryllium Products since March 1996.

Beryllium Products is a unit of Brush Wellman Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary

A subsidiary whose parent company owns 100% of its common stock.

Mr. Anderson joined Brush Wellman in July 1974. In his nearly 30 years with the company, he has held technical, sales and senior management positions within Beryllium Products, Brush Ceramic Products and Brush Wellman's Alloy Products units, as well as at Williams Advanced Materials Inc., another wholly owned subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials.
