Brum estates are praised by top minister.


TWO Birmingham housing estates which have undergone a vast transformation in the past 15 years are being hailed as good examples of empowering communities.

Governemnt minister Hazel hazel, any plant of the genus Corylus of the family Betulaceae (birch family), shrubs or small trees with foliage similar to the related alders. They are often cultivated for ornament and for the edible nuts.  Blears has included Birmingham in a network of 18 key local councils who will shape national housing and community policy.

The announcement follows the city's successes in giving residents in Castle Vale Castle Vale is an area of the City of Birmingham, in England, originally created as an overspill housing estate in the 1960s. History

It is the work of local resident led groups, the Castle Vale Community Housing Association and Witton Lodge Community Association, which have been singled out for praise.

Cabinet Member for Local Services and Community Safety Coun Ayoub Khan said that it showed Birmingham is held in high regard at a national level.
