Bruce T. Bowling Named Group Publisher of Public Safety Product News.


MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 1999--

Cygnus Publishing announced today that Bruce T. Bowling has been named group publisher of Public Safety Product News (PSPN PSPN Public Service Phone Numbers ).

He will oversee the editorial, marketing, and strategic direction of the magazine in addition to his role as group publisher of Firehouse Magazine. Former publisher of PSPN, Michael George, has chosen to focus solely on his position as publisher of Law Enforcement Product News with additional responsibilities including the magazine's online opportunities.

"Bruce has an exceptional background within the public safety market and is a major factor in the success of Firehouse Magazine," says Chuck Stentiford, senior vice president of Cygnus Publishing. "We look forward to his bringing that same talent and expertise to Public Safety Product News."

All editorial operations for the publication will move from Denver to the company's Melville, New York Melville is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Huntington in Suffolk County on Long Island, New York, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, 14,533 people resided there.  offices in November. This move will allow the staffs of both PSPN and Firehouse to work more closely together.
