Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to Play Boston's Historic Fenway Park; First Rock Concert Ever Held at Ballpark.

Tickets go on sale June 27th for September 6th concert.

Currently in the final week of a hugely successful European tour, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform in concert, Saturday, September 6 at the home of the Red Sox, Boston's Fenway Park Coordinates:

Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the Orpheum Theatre box office and through Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling (617) 228-6000. Tickets will not be available at the Fenway Park box office. Clear Channel Entertainment will promote the event.

 near-3 million tickets worldwide, including 1.1 million on their current 24 date, 13 city European tour and 900,000 so far for this summer's US stadium tour. Additional stadium dates will be announced in July, with the tour expected to end on or around September 30.

Besides sold-out success in Europe, Springsteen and the E Street Band are grabbing peak critical notice, with the London Guardian called the Band's recent show at Crystal Palace Athletics Ground, "impossibly stirring," while the London Times called the show "three hours of sustained brilliance, five out of five stars."

The concert prompted the Daily Telegraph's David Cheal to remark, "Whenever I witness one of Bruce's live appearances, everything else I've ever seen seems like the work of rank amateurs."

Elsewhere in Europe, the Netherlands' Algemeen Dagblad The Algemeen Dagblad (short: AD) is a Dutch newspaper. Founded in Rotterdam in 1946, it currently has a daily circulation of 315,000. Fenway Park opened in 1912, with the first official baseball game on April 20th when the Red Sox defeated the New York New York, state, United States
