Speigel recently secured Gracious Home as the tenant for 24,300 s/f of space at Chelsea Landmark, a luxury rental building on the east side of Sixth Avenue between West 25th and West 26th streets. This lease extends Chelsea's Sixth Avenue retail corridor north of 23rd Street for the first time. It is a 20-year lease, and Gracious Home took all of Chelsea Landmark's retail space, which includes roughly 17,000 s/f of street-level space and about 7,300s/f of lower-level retail space. Spiegel oversees the marketing and leasing of Rose Associates, Inc.'s retail, office, garage and professional properties in New York City. He joined Rose Associates in 1985 and, during the past five years, he has completed more than 100 retail transactions, as well as numerous professional space and office leasing transactions. He is also involved in the Rose Associates' acquisition and development of office/retail projects. Spiegel's leasing of Rose Associates' diverse New York City retail portfolio has brought him in contact with nearly every established retailer in the New York City arena, allowing him to establish strong working relationships with regional and national retailers. Similarly, through many years of cooperative work, he has established an excellent relationship with the retail brokerage community.
