Tuesday announced that Bruce Rosenberg has been elected vice president, marketing distribution, for the company. Rosenberg most recently served as director, marketing distribution, for Hilton, a position he held since January of this year. Prior to that, he served as director, travel agency marketing, for the company, a position he held since 1990. In this newly created position, Rosenberg will oversee travel agency marketing and Hilton's global distribution systems, including the automation systems used by travel organizations. He will also guide Hilton's efforts into new distribution channels appropriate for strategic market segments. He reports to Bob Dirks Dirks, as a person, may refer to:
"During his five-year career with Hilton, Rosenberg has vastly improved our relationship with worldwide travel professionals, establishing a partnership with the travel agency market that is unprecedented for our company," said Dirks. Rosenberg began his professional career in 1984 with Eastern Airlines as an account executive, and in 1985, was named group contract manager. In 1987, he held the position of national account manager with Continental and Eastern Airlines. Rosenberg was appointed travel agency sales group and incentive market director for the Marriott Corp. in 1989, before being named vice president, sales and marketing, for General Rent-A-Car's Western Region later that year.
