Q: When do you think the digital platform will be a viable business?

A: The digital platform is already a viable business. Paramount in 1995 closed two major international deals for the digital platform - the first in Germany Germany (jûr`mənē), Ger. Deutschland, officially Federal Republic of Germany, republic (2005 est. pop. 82,431,000), 137,699 sq mi (356,733 sq km).  with the Kirch Kirch may refer to:

Q: Do you think the quantity of product will increase or decrease with the arrival of the digital platform?

A: The controlling factor in the volume produced for the digital platforms will still basically be controlled by the American studio outputs. It will be a long time before the new digital networks will be strong enough to financially commission the production of new programming.

Q: Do you think the distribution business is changing?

A: Not really. Demand for good quality product is expanding as the number of users increases. However, the end user, which is terrestrial television Terrestrial television is a term which refers to modes of television broadcasting which do not involve satellite transmission. [1]. The term is uncommon in the United States, and more common in Europe. , will continue to be the most important buying force in the marketplace for a long time.

Q: How long will the Age of the Studios last?

A: The major motion picture studios have been in business for some 75 years and their business is as healthy today as in the early 1920s. They will continue to make blockbuster block·bust·er

A: My future plans are to continue on with Paramount, where I have been for the past 36 years, as a consultant. I still very much feel a part of the family and will be striving in the future to assist the development of Paramount's business in the international marketplace as I have always done.
