Its unusual color is caused in some instances by the presence of red iron oxide which acts as a cement, binding the sand grains together. Investment Inc., (the "Company"), wishes to announce that it has acquired a group of 17 claim units surrounding the former producer, the Tashota Goldfields n. 1. The claims were acquired for the payment of $20,000 cash and the issuance of an aggregate of 60,000 Company common shares over the next eighteen months. The vendor of the claims retained a 2 percent net smelter returns royalty in which the Company may purchase a one-half (1/2) interest at any time for $250,000. From 1935 to 1938 the Tashota Goldfields Limited Mine milled 51,200 tons of ore yielding 12,355 ounces of gold, 14,527 ounces of silver and 575,430 lbs of copper. The orebody on which the former mine is situated appears to be open at depth and along strike to the east and west. The McPhee Report recommended that $755,000 be expended on an exploration program consisting of surface trench sampling and/or drill testing of all geophysical anomalies and that core sampling be completed over the entire length of the holes to establish a correlation between gold values, sulphides and rock type in order to determine whether the gold is associated with the sulphides causing the anomalies. In another development, the Company also wishes to announce that its 85 percent owned subsidiary, Minera Glenora S.A. de C.V., "Glenora", has received a Final Report on exploration work conducted on the Cerro del Oro property by Minera Hecla S.A. de C.V., "Hecla", Hecla Mining Company's Mexican subsidiary. The report indicates that the best mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. Hecla concludes that it did not intersect ore grade gold mineralization with sufficient thickness and continuity to indicate the presence of a minable ore body. Hecla also concludes that it is possible, but not highly probable, that a network of gold-mineralized veins coalesces to the north or northeast to form a significant ore body. Hecla advised that it intends to explore the adjacent area to the north and northeast of the Cerro del Oro property. Helca has also advised that it has not yet decided whether or not it will exercise its option to acquire the Cerro del Oro property, which option was described in the Company's Press Release dated 14 February, 1995.
