Brown wins award for tech advances in case management.Susan T. Brown of Florida's Division of Administrative Services has been chosen the winner of the William R. McMahon Award by the ABA's Judicial Division National Conference of Specialized Court Judges. Brown is being honored for her work in technological advancements in developing integrated case management system DOAH. She helped conceive an integrated case management system for administrative judges at DOAH, including the necessary technological support. When the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims became part of DOAH in 2001, Brown led the effort that applied a similar program for the OJCC, which historically had had little central integration or technical support. She and her team followed that with setting up a Web site for the OJCC, internally scanning documents for electronic access, and finally allowing registered users to electronically file documents with the OJCC, a process that is used about 20,000 times a month. |
