David Moyes David William Moyes (b. April 25, 1963 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of Everton F.C.. He has twice been named, in 2003 and 2005, as the 'League Managers' Association manager of the year', and is one of the younger  this weekend has not prevented him hailing the Everton man as the perfect career role model.

Brown's side host Everton at the KC Stadium tomorrow hoping to extend their fine start to life in the Barclays Premier League after taking seven points from four matches.

Everton have had a mixed start having lost twice at home but they still sit just a point behind the Tigers and their success under Moyes over the has been a source of inspiration for Brown.

Moyes took Everton into the top four in 2005 and, after finishing fifth last year, is set to be rewarded with a lucrative new contract, according to reports.

Brown said: "Confidence is soaring but we are not getting ahead of ourselves.

"It is a long season and we are coming up against one of the bigger clubs in the history of the Premier League.

"David Moyes has done a fantastic job at Everton, none more so than last season when he almost got them into the top four.

"He has done tremendously. I know Dave very well and he is a very strong character, very forthright in his views, very opinionated. I think his teams play that way, they are strong mentally.

"I'd like to emulate what Davie has done and he has not finished yet. He is still very ambitious, very driven.

"He deserves everything he gets for what he has done at Everton."

Everton have been involved in two draining contests since Hull beat Newcastle last Saturday, an eventful 3-2 win at Stoke on Sunday and a 2-2 draw against Standard Liege liege

Brown realises Everton do not have the strength in depth of other clubs and hopes his fresher players will be able to capitalise on any fatigue this weekend.

"Fortunately for us we are meeting Everton on the back of a European game. Notoriously, from my time at Bolton, we knew that tended to hamper preparations," he said.

"Hopefully it will hamper their preparations and we can take advantage of that.

"I'm not going to say it is an easy advantage or we are going to walk all over Everton, but if we are still in the game with 75 minutes on the clock, then hopefully fitter legs will reap the rewards.

"But it will be a tough game, Moyes's teams are very fit, well organised, well drilled, good at set-pieces and they have got a bit of flair as well. They have also got goalscorers.

"Davie by his own admission would tell you he hasn't got one of the biggest squads in the Premier League.

"But he has one of the strongest if he can put his best XI out - and I know he will be putting his best XI out."
