Brown Named Cinesite CEO, Scovill Heads U.S. Operations.

Eastman Kodak Company announced today its new top leadership team for Cinesite, the company's digital motion imaging business. Colin Brown Colin Brown may refer to:

 of its European subsidiary, Cinesite (Europe) Limited, based in London. Ruth Scovill has been appointed president and chief operating officer of the U.S. subsidiary, Cinesite, Inc., based in Hollywood.

Cinesite is a subsidiary of Kodak and part of the company's Entertainment Imaging division. Brown outlined three broad objectives for Cinesite. He says the company will continue providing world-class scanning and recording, 2-D and 3-D visual effects, and film restoration services. Cinesite will also explore and evaluate new hybrid motion imaging technologies and applications, including digital intermediate and digital mastering services. He says that Cinesite is also evaluating the need to provide services in other markets around the world.

"We have been given the mission of making our current services accessible and affordable for filmmakers around the world," says Brown. "Management at Kodak has also challenged us to explore new frontiers and bring the company into new digital arenas. There are no boundaries around the territory we will explore and that's a fabulous challenge."

Scovill brings a fresh perspective to Cinesite based on her experience at a major, innovative studio.

We need to maintain a high level of customer service, even as we explore new directions. I have a history of forming alliances to create--and use--technology in interesting ways. Prior to joining Cinesite, Brown was managing director of the European Television Network Group, managing director of Molinaire, Ltd., London's premiere production and post production group, and executive vice president of Rank-Cintel Inc. in the U.S.

Prior to joining DreamWorks SKG, Scovill was vice president of operations for Nickelodeon Studios Nickelodeon Studios (opened June 7, 1990 – closed April 30, 2005) was an attraction at Universal Studios Florida. History
