William and Mary - joint monarchs of England; William III and Mary II College in 1980. Vic's life seems great. She is about to get engaged and aside from some family financial strains, all is going fine. Then she meets Chris, another student, and falls madly mad·ly adv. 1. In a crazy way; insanely. 2. In a wild manner; frantically. 3. In a foolish manner; rashly. madly Adverb 1. and passionately in love with her. The story follows Vic as she deals with the ramifications ramifications npl → Auswirkungen pl of loving another woman and watching her crazy Southern family bounce 1. bounce - (Perhaps by analogy to a bouncing check) An electronic mail message that is undeliverable and returns an error notification (a "bounce message") to the sender is said to "bounce". 2. bounce - To play volleyball. The now-demolished D. C. off the walls. As events progress, Vic also manages to get thrown out of school and Chris becomes pregnant. Some parts of the novel are fun and funny while others are quite serious. There are some graphic sexual encounters and the end is a bit disappointing but the whole is still quite entertaining.
