Brotherly love sees Jets swoop back.

THE Jets are rock & rolling again following an act of brotherly love that ensured the group could continue making music.

The band, which enjoyed hits in the early 80s with Yes Tonight Josephine and Love Makes The World Go Round, are siblings Bob, Ray and Tony Cotton.

Due to a genetic disorder, a faulty gene is passed through the family from their father causing cysts to form on the kidneys.

The kidneys start to fail and the patient needs dialysis or have a transplant to stay alive.

That's what happened to guitarist Ray last year but big brother Bob, who does not have the faulty gene, donated one of his healthy kidneys to save his life.

The operation at Leicester General Hospital last year was a success but younger brother Tony is now on the kidney transplant waiting list as he also has the disease and may need an operation in the next couple of years. In the meantime the band continue to gig and will be at Birmingham's Forget Me Not Ex-Servicemen's Club on Tyburn Road tomorrow.
