The very first Little America, called Little America Wyoming, is 9 miles west of Green River, Wyoming, and 20 miles west of Rock Springs, Wyoming on Interstate 80.  in Salt Lake City. The conference features more than 100 real-life case studies and technical presentations on the automation issues facing semiconductor companies today, especially companies that are transitioning to a 300mm environment. A special conference track is offered to support the specific performance and automation requirements of Brooks' general industry customers. The conference agenda includes five tracks, which together show the scope of Brooks' automation solutions and how Brooks' integrated products fit together to meet customers' unique automation needs.

The Brooks Symposium also offers training through a series of workshops held throughout the conference, on several topics including 300mm hardware and software standards, advanced process control, MES (Manufacturing Execution Software) Software that provides real time access to plant activities that include equipment, labor, orders and inventory. An MES integrates the data with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems so that management has complete control of  deployment, and simulation for general industry. Two on-site computer labs will be open and staffed throughout the week of the conference, giving attendees the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Brooks technical consultant.
