"The production of Inbound is an impressive accomplishment and an example of the multiple talents of students at Lafayette High School," said Carole Artigiani, executive director of Global Kids, Inc. "While many young people face numerous personal challenges, they respond with energy and enthusiasm when presented with opportunities to learn and inspire their peers to take action on critical issues in their own lives and the world."

Inbound, written, created, and performed by youth in the Expressions program, explores the experiences and perspectives of a variety of diverse characters through a series of monologues that take place on the subway. The piece is based on photographs of strangers - analogous to those one sees every day on the subway - and the resultant monologues that students developed to tell their story. Through these monologues, the Expressions youth explore the idea of initial impressions of people and the possible internal realities.

Inbound will be presented on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Library at Lafayette High School, located in Brooklyn at 2630 Benson Avenue. The school is accessible by subway at either the D train to 25th Avenue or the N train to 86th Street. There is no cost for attendance.
