) announced its intention to purchase 1625 Eye Street in Washington, D.C. from the Union Labor Life Insurance Company The Union Labor Life Insurance Company (ULLICO) is a privately held life and health insurance company in the United States. ULLICO was founded in 1925 by the American Federation of Labor (AFL), which wanted to offer working people affordable health and life insurance.  for $157.5 million. The transaction is expected to close in early December.

Located two blocks from the White House, the 383,000 square foot office building was developed by the Union Labor Life Insurance Company and completed in April of this year.

The 12-story building has a five-level underground parking garage and convenient access to public transportation.

The law firm O'Melveny & Myers presently occupies approximately 136,000 square feet of the building. Union Labor Life will lease approximately 64,000 square feet upon the closing of the purchase. The remaining portion of the building is vacant.
