The four-story, 100,000 s/f property, at 2480-88 Grand Concourse, is on the southeast corner of that avenue and Fordham Road, the borough's premier shopping location. A joint venture of Jem Realty Management and Comjem Realty Management purchased the property from 2480 Grand Concourse Realty for $36 million, one of the highest per square foot prices in the Bronx for a building of this size.

The building is anchored by Seaman's Furniture and has 10 other stores and three floors of office space.

Miles Mahony of NAI Friedland Realty represented both buyer and seller.

"This is a significant transaction in an important location," said Stephen Oder, president of NAI Friedland Realty. "The new owners plan to enhance the retail presence of the property and create a prime retail center.
