Brompton Advantaged Equal Weight Oil & Gas Income Fund Files Final Prospectus.TORONTO -- Brompton Advantaged Equal Weight Oil & Gas Income Fund is pleased to announce that it has filed and obtained a receipt for a Final Prospectus dated February 24, 2005 relating to its initial public offering of trust units. The minimum amount of the offering is $125 million and the maximum amount is $350 million. Closing is scheduled for March 17, 2005. The Fund's investment objectives are to provide unitholders with the benefits of high monthly tax advantaged cash distributions and low management fees together with the opportunity for capital appreciation based on the performance of an equally weighted diversified portfolio of oil and gas income trusts. The Fund will enter into a Forward Agreement which results in a significant portion of the Fund's distributions consisting of return of capital for tax purposes. The return on the Fund will be dependent upon a portfolio which will comprise an approximate equal dollar amount of each oil and gas income trust listed on the TSX TSX Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE before April, 2002) TSX Transfer from Stack Pointer to Index TSX True Space Extension having a market capitalization of at least $500 million and which pays a regular distribution. As at February 21, 2005, there were 25 qualifying income trusts which represented approximately 94% of the market capitalization of all oil and gas income trusts listed on the TSX.
