Brokerage consortium of nine leading firms signs initial $1.3 million contract for Computron Software Windows NT-based client/server financial and cool software.

RUTHERFORD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 1996--Computron Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTRN) today announced that it signed a major 4Q95 contract to initially provide more than $1.3 million of its General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and COOL (Computer Output On-Line) products and services to Comprehensive Software Systems, Ltd. (CSS).

The software will run on Windows NT servers, utilizing Windows clients and a Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 database.

CSS is a limited partnership formed by nine brokerage firms to develop a new, state-of-the-art client/server brokerage system, which will then be rolled out to the partners. CSS will be embedding the Computron Software modules within the larger brokerage system to provide integrated accounting and on-line report/data archival functionality. Computron and CSS anticipate receiving significant additional license and service fees as the CSS systems are marketed to the brokerage community. The nine firms in the CSS partnership are BHC Securities, Hanifen Imhoff, Inc., Legg Mason, McDonald & Co., Morgan Stanley, Raymond James, Southwest Securities, Stephens, Inc., and TransTerra, Co.
