Broken records; Grafton High's Will Faden doesn't focus on what he's done; he's looking at what he wants to do next.Byline: Jim Wilson There are a number of notable people named Jim Wilson. These include:
In an era when athletes have a photographic memory of individual accomplishments, Grafton's Will Faden doesn't does·n't Contraction of does not. look back at the past - only the next race. Faden has several course records around Central Mass., but isn't is·n't Contraction of is not. isn't is not isn't be sure of the exact number. "To be honest, I have no idea (how many I have)," Faden said. Area coaches have determined Faden holds records at Blackstone Valley Tech, Millbury, Oxford, Shepherd Hill (set just last week) and Uxbridge - but many coaches point out he probably owns more than that. He has come within two seconds of his home-course record, which was set in 1986 by Jim Noonan, who ran the 2.9-mile course in 14:19. "He's such a great kid and so humble," Grafton coach Peter Gleason said of Faden. "He wins with class and loses with class, and that's why so many runners like him. He's just one of those kids you can't help but root for because he does everything right." Faden ran a 15:35 at Northbridge earlier this season, and coaches were trying to determine if that was a record or not. Last year in Oxford, Faden smashed a record set by another great runner, Doug Caves The following is a partial list of caves. Africa Ethiopia

However, Faden doesn't focus on what he has done before; he's looking at what he wants to do next. Right now, that means capturing the Southern Worcester County Worcester County is the name of several counties in the United States of America:
"There's still a lot to prove for me, I still think I can go out there and win districts this year," Faden said. "That's my main goal and then go and do well in states. I think I can get a top five." Faden ran a 14:18 to win last year's SWCL SWCL Special Warfare Craft, Light SWCL South West Coach Lines title in Southbridge, topping Millbury's Tim Mazeika (14:33). Faden, who credits Gleason with helping him hone his technique, has competed in top races such as the Nike Indoor National meet and the Ocean State Invitational in·vi·ta·tion·al adj. Restricted to invited participants: an invitational golf tournament. n. An event, especially a sports tournament, restricted to invited participants. Adj. 1. . "When you see how good runners are around the country, it really puts things into perspective so you never really get complacent com·pla·cent adj. 1. Contented to a fault; self-satisfied and unconcerned: He had become complacent after years of success. 2. Eager to please; complaisant. or happy with just being good at your school or in your league," Gleason said. "I think that taught Will at an early age that there are a lot of kids out there that are better than me and if he wants to get good he has to work really hard." Gleason said Faden is so talented, he could challenge for the course record at every race he competes in, but the like the sport itself, the season is a marathon, not a sprint. "In this sport, you can only go to the bank so many times," Gleason said. "I just tell him to win. There are days he could break a record, but I only turn him loose on certain races on certain days. It's pointless to have him beat himself up to break a record when he's going to win the race by a minute as it is." Byron Jones Byron Jones (born 1949 in Risca, Monmouthshire) is a Welsh organ virtuoso. Byron Jones aka Dr.Jones. (born 1977 in sacramento CA) is a Popular karaoke singer in Sacramento. Westboro High Jones is only a junior, but he has emerged as one of the top harriers in the area. Jones burst on the scene this year by topping the course record at Algonquin - which has since been broken by Nashoba's Coby Horowitz - and later broke the course mark at Westboro. "Byron is very dedicated to the sport, he loves to compete, train and be a part of the team," Westboro coach Rick Hebert said. "I think he truly has found something he enjoys and he can be a part of a group of top-level athletes in the district." Coby Horowitz Nashoba Regional The Chieftains have the benefit of two of the top runners in the area with Horowitz and Brendon Aylaian. Horowitz has course records at Algonquin and Nashoba, while Aylaian owns the mark at Oakmont and recently co-held the Nashoba record with the graduated Anthony Raduazo, but it was beaten earlier this season by - who else - Horowitz. Horowitz recently set the mark at Shrewsbury, running in a time of 16:38 - nearly a minute faster than the previous mark set by St. John's Cam Tieuli (17:24) in 2006. "Coby is really our main runner at this point of the season, he is a team leader in both his attitude and his running performances," Nashoba coach Don Gribbons said. "The uniqueness of Coby is that he has assumed the role to make all of our runners better and in several races has sacrificed his own performance to improve that of the teammates." Ali Tyburski Shepherd Hill Regional It's been an outstanding year for Tyburski, who broke her own home course record and also set new marks at Uxbridge, Southbridge, Notre Dame Academy Notre Dame Academy may refer to:
Tyburski's year was just as good as a sophomore, as she finished first in all 10 Southern Worcester County League meets, breaking the Shepherd Hill course record by 42 seconds and won the SWCL championship by setting a course record. She also set course records at Bartlett, Millbury, Shepherd Hill, Grafton and twice at Southbridge. Tyburski earned a spot on last year's T&G all-star team after winning the mile at the Central Mass. Championships. In that event, Tyburski added to a very full trophy case of records, breaking a 22-year old school record with a time of 5:17. Tyburski also set a SWCL record in the 800 meters last spring. Micaela Lacombe Lacombe a lop-eared bacon pig produced in Canada by crossing Landrace, Chester White and Berkshire pigs. Groton-Dunstable Regional Lacombe emerged as one of the top runners in the area last year after winning the Central Mass. Division 1 race as a freshman, covering the 2.9-mile course in 17:16.6. Lacombe has since broken course records at Gardner and Groton-Dunstable - her Gardner record has since been broken by the Wildcats' Stephanie Ellis ELLIS - EuLisp LInda System. Wilson ed, U Edinburgh TR 91-13, 1991. . Lacombe's stellar freshman season saw her finish sixth overall in the state championship meet at Gardner - the first freshman at the meet to cross the finish line - finishing in 17:19. In addition to winning the Mid-Wach B Championship race, Lacombe also won the freshman 4K race at the Ocean State Invitational at Goddard Park in Warwick, R.I. Because of an injury from last year's track and field season, Lacombe has run just two races this year, but she is getting healthy just in time to defend her Central Mass. title. Lacombe finished third in this year's Quabbin Invitational and is getting stronger by the day. Course records ...
