Broken neck man settles.

A TV producer who was sent home from hospital with a broken neck after fall has settled his pounds 50,000 compensation claim out of court.

Television executive Jim Adamson raised a claim for damages against Tayside University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The civil case at Perth Sheriff Court has now been settled with a behind-closed- doors agreement for an undisclosed sum.

Mr Adamson, 51, said he was sent home from Perth Royal Infirmary despite later being diagnosed as having a broken neck,which doctors at the hospital failed to spot.

A spokesman for the hospitals trust declined to comment.
