Broken neck man settles.


A TV producer who was sent home from hospital with a broken neck after fall has settled his pounds 50,000 compensation claim out of court.

Television executive Jim Adamson raised a claim for damages against Tayside University Hospitals NHS Trust National Health Service Trusts (NHS Trusts) provide many services of the National Health Service in England and Wales. They are not trusts in the legal sense but are in effect public sector corporations. .

The civil case at Perth Sheriff Court has now been settled with a behind-closed- doors agreement for an undisclosed sum.

Mr Adamson, 51, said he was sent home from Perth Royal Infirmary Royal Infirmary may refer to:
  • England
  • Bristol Royal Infirmary
  • Derbyshire Royal Infirmary
 despite later being diagnosed as having a broken neck,which doctors at the hospital failed to spot.

A spokesman for the hospitals trust declined to comment.
