Brockville General Hospital Implements Misys CPR(TM) in Record Time to Improve Efficiency and Clinical Quality; Hospital Makes Quantum Leap in Technology to Replace Dated, Legacy System.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced that Brockville General Hospital (BGH), a 103-bed acute care facility located in Ontario, Canada, has successfully deployed Misys CPR(TM), a market-leading computer-based patient record system, only four months after signing the contract to purchase. The implementation of Misys CPR will soon give BGH's staff of 600 the ability to access patients' comprehensive medical records, across departments, to enable more informed clinical decision-making.

The rapid, phased implementation began in December 2005, and today, Misys CPR functionality is being used live in the laboratory, radiology and patient registration departments, completely replacing BGH's 15-year-old legacy system. Additionally, Misys CPR is being used in parts of the hospital's pharmacy and across the medical records system. BGH physicians, who treat more then 30,000 patients annually, will see improvements to workflow as a result of the integrated system.

With completion of the second phase, expected by this fall, BGH aims to have all physicians using the computerized physician order entry (CPOE) within Misys CPR to efficiently place orders, track medication administration and improve clinical and business reporting capabilities.
