Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison Partner Leaves to Take Senior Position With Brobeck Client; Tom Bevilacqua To Join E-TRADE Group, Inc.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 1999--Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  announced today that Thomas Bevilacqua will leave the firm to join a major Brobeck client, E-TRADE Group, Inc., a leading branded provider of online investing services, as Executive Vice-President of Corporate Development and General Counsel. Bevilacqua will join E-TRADE no later than May 1, and is currently working with other Brobeck partners and clients to ensure a smooth transition.

"Although we are saddened to be losing this highly respected partner from our firm, we are delighted that Tom is joining E-TRADE, which will only serve to strengthen our ties with one of Brobeck's most important clients," said Tower C.
