), today announced it has signed a one year contract with the University of Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  to provide an important communications solution for the university.

Under the terms of the agreement, Broadwing is providing various long distance, data and private line services. To win the business amidst fierce competition, Broadwing offered Notre Dame a creative billing solution, access to Broadwing's award winning network through its South Bend South Bend, city (1990 pop. 105,511), seat of St. Joseph co., N Ind., on the great south bend of the St. Joseph River, in a farming and mint-growing region; inc. as a city 1865.  switch, and an on-site telecommunications coordinator to oversee all of the university's Broadwing operations. Providing local support was also key.
