Broadwing Announces Completion of Focal Network Integration; Communications Provider Acts Swiftly to Capture Synergies.

 (Broadwing) announced that it has completed the integration of the Focal Communications network The transmission channels interconnecting all client and server stations as well as all supporting hardware and software. .

Broadwing has established full network connectivity between the legacy Focal and existing Broadwing POPs in 20 major markets around the country. The acquisition, which was completed on September 1, 2004, promised cost of service synergies and the expansion of Broadwing product and service capabilities in these markets. By focusing on the execution of the acquisition strategy, Broadwing and its customers will benefit.
