Broadlane and B.Braun Medical Sign Three-Year Agreement Covering Safety Catheters.

Broadlane Inc. and B. Braun Medical Inc. today announced that Broadlane has awarded a three-year contract for B.Braun to provide Introcan(R)Safety(TM)IV Catheters to Broadlane's healthcare customers.

The contract is effective May 1.

The contract for safety catheters provides Broadlane customers with access to B. Braun's entire line of Introcan(R) Safety(TM) IV Catheters which are available in sizes ranging from 14 gauge to 24 gauge, with or without wings, and in both polyurethane polyurethane

The Introcan(R) Safety(TM) line incorporates several safety mechanisms that cannot be bypassed and fully complies with national needlestick prevention legislation and directives.

B. Braun was awarded the contract as part of Broadlane's intensive contract selection process, which focuses on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to Broadlane hospitals and other healthcare customers.

To ensure that it selects the best products and vendors for its customers, Broadlane solicits input and direction from key end users, such as physicians and nurses, as well as hospital business leaders.
