Broadcast Veteran Greg Huttie Joins EMCEE Communications as Director of Sales and Marketing, Broadcast Products.

, Pa. -- EMCEE Communications, an international communications and information technology company, has named broadcast industry veteran Greg Huttie as director sales and marketing of the Broadcast Products business. In his new role, Huttie will be responsible for the roll-out and growth of the company's low-power DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. The major DTV standards are ATSC (North America), DVB (Europe) and ISDB (Japan). All three use MPEG-2 video compression and Dolby Digital audio compression. DVB and ISDB also include MPEG audio compression.  product line.

Huttie brings more than 20 years' experience to his new position, including seven years as director of Product Development/Management for Harris Corp - Videotek Division, a leading manufacturer of test and measurement instruments, centralized monitoring systems, and devices for the broadcast industry; six years as senior manager of Network Operations - Broadcast for Primestar by DIRECTV, a digital satellite provider; and seven years as director of Creative Services Creative Services are a subsector of the creative industries, a part of the economy that creates wealth by offering creativity for hire to other businesses.
