Broadcast Network-Owned Local TV Stations Assert Commitment to Localism; General Managers Highlight Local News and Public Affairs to Congressional Representatives.

More than 70 general managers from broadcast network owned-and-operated local television stations visited Capitol Hill today to meet with their local Members of Congress to dispel suggestions by some critics that stations owned by broadcast networks are less responsive to local needs than stations owned by other media groups.
