Not only did teenage prospect Broadbent confirmhis formwith an early winner, but defenders David Mirfin David Mirfin (born April 18, 1985 in Sheffield) is a professional footballer, currently playing for Huddersfield Town in Coca-Cola League One.

At 6'3" and 13st, 'Mirf' plays as a centre half and has commanding presence.
 and Joe Skarz returned from injury to complete the full 90 minutes.

That could put them in contention for returns to the senior squad against Oldham at the same venue on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood also played the whole match, making a fine save to deny NathanKilcourse and then a brilliant late effort to keep out Ryan Brooke.

Broadbent's goal came when he beat keeper Josh Ollerenshaw from a tight angle in the box after Lucas Akins had nodded through.

And Town were unlucky not to go further ahead when Tom Clarke, back from his loan at Halifax, had a shot blocked on the line.

The first half was marred for Town when Tom Jackson was carried off on a stretcher after being injured.
