Broadband Legal Expert Jim Baller to Address 2005 FTTH Council Annual Conference & Expo.


WASHINGTON -- The Fiber-to-the-Home Council today announced that Jim Baller, broadband legal expert and founder of the Baller Herbst Law Group in Washington DC, will be keynote speaker at the 2005 FTTH (Fiber To The Home) See FTTP.  Council Conference & Expo on Wednesday, October 5, 2005. Mr. Baller will address the key legal and regulatory issues that affect FTTH projects as well as recent important actions before Congress, the FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S. , the states, and the courts.

Mr. Baller is widely recognized as the most experienced and knowledgeable attorney in America on public broadband matters. His clients include the American Public Power Association (APPA), the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA NATOA National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors ), state utility associations and municipal leagues, and individual local governments and public power utilities in more than 35 states.
