Expanding its management team to meet growing demand from advertisers, Broadband Interactive Group (BIG), a new media company developing cross-media platforms for targeted communities of interest, has hired Deborah Striff as its vice president of integrated sales.

Striff will promote BIG's multiple media offerings, help in the development of additional targeted communities and manage the endemic sales department.

Striff will be responsible for creating integrated sales packages for advertisers, providing turnkey marketing solutions with such offerings as commercial television time; promotional, sponsorship and product placement opportunities within television programming when appropriate; online ads; advertisements in print magazines; as well as signage, displays and product samples at live events.

She will begin work immediately with BIG's first channel and proof-of-concept, Bluetorch. Participants and fans of extreme sports extreme sports

Striff, who most recently was national advertising manager for AT&T Media Services, has over 20 years of experience in advertising and media sales. At AT&T, she was a key member of the team that created and sold the New Media Alliance. The Alliance was designed to develop and test interactive advertising applications for convergent media in five non-competitive categories.

She was a winner of the Cable Advertising Bureau Corporate Sales Achievement Award in 1999. Earlier in her career, she managed advertising sales for a variety of media outlets including USA Today USA Today
