Broadband Access Systems Executives To Address MIT Internet and Telecoms Convergence Consortium.


MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--

Broadband Access See broadband and wireless broadband.  Systems, the industry's only company exclusively focused on providing cable access solutions for the deployment of value-added data and voice services, today announced that Abbot Gilman, the company's COO and co-founder, and Pirjo Tuomi, the company's vice president of worldwide sales, will address the MIT MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology  Internet and Telecoms Convergence Consortium. The presentation, entitled "Requirements for Integrated Voice and Data Platforms," will be a highlight of the semi-annual meeting of the Consortium in Rome, Italy on June 8, 1999.

Gilman and Tuomi will address the requirements for new services that will enable cable operators to succeed versus emerging competition. They will also discuss hardware, software, network management and service provisioning requirements needed to support integrated voice and data convergence.
