A variety of BroadVision(R) applications and tools -- including BroadVision One-To-One(R) Enterprise -- have been used to create several initiatives that improve customer service and convenience for patients and referring physicians throughout the hospital's extensive pediatric healthcare network.

These BroadVision-powered initiatives include a consumer portal that allows users to find information about pediatric diseases and conditions, health and safety topics, and the healthcare network's related programs and services. Using the portal, patients can easily locate physicians, view physician profiles, request general pediatric or specialty appointments, and ask billing questions.

In addition, BroadVision software was used to create a referring physician portal that allows physicians to obtain information on children they've referred anywhere within the hospital's network of 30+ facilities. Appointment and admission history, patient status, lab results and discharge notes can all be accessed within a password-protected, secure "dashboard."

Children's Hospital also takes advantage of BroadVision's content management tools to streamline the publication, editing and updating of a large volume of health-related articles and information. Future plans include leveraging these tools to allow clinical departments to maintain content such as staff listings, hours of operation and news and event information on their departments' respective web pages.
