BroadVision Names Software Veteran Chris M. Grejtak as Chief Marketing Officer.

 e-business applications, today announced that Chris M. Grejtak has been named as chief marketing officer for BroadVision. Grejtak, who most recently served as chief executive officer and member of the board of directors of Viquity Corporation, has more than 27 years of marketing, sales and general management experience in the software and services industry. As chief marketing officer, Grejtak will lead BroadVision's worldwide marketing and business development efforts.

During Grejtak's tenure as CEO of Viquity, the company launched its service and completed a third round of venture financing, which was led by JK&B Capital and included Hummer-Winblad Venture Partners and Atlas Ventures. Prior to joining Viquity, he served as executive vice president of Marketing for Brio Technology Brio Technology was a San Francisco Bay area software company cofounded in 1984 by Yorgen Edholm and Katherine Glassey. It made money early on by doing contract work for Metaphor Corporation and performing contract programming.  and lead Brio's worldwide marketing organization from 1997 through 1999. During his tenure at Brio (Brio Technology, Palo Alto, CA, www.brio.com) A software company founded in 1989 and acquired by Hyperion Solutions Corporation in 2003 that specialized in enterprise analysis and reporting programs that run on several platforms. , Grejtak was responsible for strategic marketing and business development activity and was a driving influence for Brio's acquisition of Sqribe Technology. He was also a key member of the management team that took Brio through a highly successful initial public offering in May 1998.

Prior to his role with Brio, Grejtak held leadership and executive positions with companies including Red Brick Systems, Avistar Systems, Network General Corporation, Metaphor, Inc., Cooperative Solutions, Index Technology and D&B Computing Services.
