Trucking Service, Inc. (ATS), has gone live with a new logistics web site using a suite of e-business applications from BroadVision. Based on BroadVision One-To-One(R) Enterprise and BroadVision(R) Publishing Center(TM), the new site for ATS/Sureway, the logistics division of ATS, now offers customers, independent trucking contractors and transportation brokerage agents the most extensively personalized per·son·al·ize

"ATS implemented their first BroadVision-powered portals back in March," said Chris Grejtak, chief marketing officer for BroadVision. "ATS/Sureway realized the benefits of BroadVision's technology on Anderson's main site and chose us as a technology partner for building the ultimate logistics services web site for their carriers, agents and customers."

"We are using this site as an advanced marketing, publishing and logistics tool. It will provide transportation brokerage agents and independent trucking contractors with the most advanced capabilities in the industry," added Jason Netland, general manager for ATS/Sureway. "Thanks to BroadVision's technology, our agents will have more visibility, our carriers will have more options, and our customers will have more information -- all at the click of a mouse. Not only do we expect to see increased transportation brokerage agent recruiting and retention rates with this new site, but we also expect to save nearly $10,000 per year on publishing costs."

Netland is expecting the new site to increase the company's communications abilities and help eliminate most of 2,000-plus individual faxes his company sends out daily. Using BroadVision Publishing Center content management tool, ATS/Sureway provides visitors with important company information, contracts and marketing materials online. Previously, these items were published and shipped manually -- a process that cost ATS thousands of dollars with every change in procedures, governmental shipping regulations or contractual agreements.

ATS is not the only party reaping benefits from the new web site implementation. Carriers, agents, and customers benefit tremendously from the site's ability to provide logistics information via the Internet in real time. The more than 15,000 independent carrier partners who have already signed up with ATS can now log onto the site to view available loads within the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
