BroadVision Establishes Japanese Subsidiary, Nihon BroadVision K.K.; Tsugutoshi Sakayori Appointed as Managing Director and President.

BroadVision(R) Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN BVSN Broadvision, Inc. (stock abbreviation, AMEX) ), a leading provider of personalized e-business applications, announced that it has established a wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary, Nihon BroadVision K.K. Mr. Tsugutoshi Sakayori has been appointed as the managing director and president of the new subsidiary.

BroadVision opened a Japanese branch in August of 1996 and chose to establish a Japanese subsidiary in August of this year to aggressively expand business in Japan. BroadVision has more than 65 corporate customers in Japan including Sony Communication Network Corporation, Toshiba Corporation (company) Toshiba Corporation - A Japanese technology manufacturer with 364 subsidiaries worldwide. Toshiba makes and sells electronics for home, office, industry and health care including information and communication systems, electronic components, heavy electrical apparatus, , Japan Airlines, NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).
