Saipem Improves Workforce Productivity and Collaboration by Implementing Corporate Intranet on BroadVision Business Agility Suite

(www.saipem.it), one of the largest contractors in the oil and gas industry worldwide, has chosen BroadVision[R] Business Agility Suite[TM] solution for its new Corporate Intranet.

The objective of this initiative is to construct a centralized and homogeneous Intranet application that is able to seamlessly convey the internal communication through the company and which would allow employees to have a collaboration space to share information and tools in order to improve overall company efficiency.

BroadVision was selected primarily due to its flexibility and scalability in the areas of user management, profiling and personalisation. When compared with other similar products BroadVision provided a rich solution that fulfils both the functional and technical requirements of Saipem. Furthermore the "openness" of the solution meant that Saipem is not tied down to one platform and the integration to other systems was made less complex.
