600,000 Gwinnett County Residents

(Nasdaq:BVSN), the leading provider of enterprise self-service applications, today announced that Gwinnett County (GA) Government, has launched its enhanced BroadVision powered site, www.co.gwinnett.ga.us, as part of a five-year IT initiative to offer residents access to county government services via the Internet. Gwinnett County has adopted the latest version of BroadVision(R)'s enterprise self-service application suite.

Gwinnett County is among a rapidly growing list of BroadVision customers in the government sector that have realized the importance of increased efficiency and decreased costs for their constituents, further validating that enterprise self-service is not limited to only Fortune 500 companies. Currently, a wide variety of local, state and federal governments -- including the City of Chicago, State of California, State of Minnesota, U.S. Air Force and U.S. General Services Administration -- use BroadVision software to power their e-government initiatives.

According to a recent Horizon poll conducted by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, from February 7-25, 2001, Gwinnett County is one of the most Internet connected constituencies in the United States, with 85 percent of its residents online. Additionally, more than eight in 10 residents use the Internet and 51 percent use it every day. At present, County residents utilize the web site as a resource for government and county information, news, careers and calendar of events. The new web site provides the more than 618,000 residents of the County with self-service access to information and services from numerous County departments, including online property tax payment and status of building permits for local companies.

Continuing phases of the Gwinnett County e-government initiative will add a wide variety of e-government and e-commerce features to the portal, including payment of utility bills and access to numerous county related documents from agencies such as the County Courts, Financial Services and the Tax Commissioner.
